Café by Day

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
— Marilyn Monroe

I had my first shift at the bar I tend at on Saturday nights but in the day time. Baraki is a cafe by day and a bar at night, which I had no idea of until the boss of the day Baraki approached me with a job.

I happily accepted and so your afternoon slug is now waking up at a dawning 6am to get to work at 7:30! Are you all proud of me?

I never drink coffee but I have to admit that the smell lures me into a meditative state. I washed dishes until my skin scaled, served coffee until my hands shook, stirred sugar and put caps on coffees until my finger hurt and cooked food. I had a lot of fun though and the time goes quick because its so busy! I like busy!

I started my new novel, Water for Elephants I bought at Singapore airport then spent the night fighting one sided as the other person yelled at me, I curled up silently, ignoring.
