Calculus 1

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHAERHAERGHHH
Okay now that I have that out of my system, let's talk about today.
I woke up nice and early to do my Uni timetable because they were releasing classes today. I got everything I wanted but no days off, I have no choice anyway.

I bummed, watched True Beauty, a bit of Entourage and made some Caesar Salad. I went back onto my timetable to answer my friend when my tutorial is to find.. that I had been taken out of Calculus 2. Everything, absolutely everything.

I just rang up, to find that Calculus 1 is a prerequisite for Calculus 2. I forgot to mention that I had failed that - I'm sure everyone who knew me last semester would know my attitude towards it. I was victimized and I surrendered, an attitude unbeknown to my character so I guess I deserved it too.

Now my Uni account is having troubles, so I rang up again to find that they can't fix it until I start school. I can't choose the classes to how I want it.

Dammit Melbourne, DAMMIT!
Rant over.

4.5 Hours of Pain

Yesterday, like my other days since returning back to Melbourne, has been very quiet.
I woke up at midday to then go to do some banking, bought some groceries for dinner then went to the dingy Asian area to get quail eggs.

I had been dreaming of this beef soup forever, for some reason I wanted to combine Asian and Caucasian flavours together to make my ultimato beef soup. Just letting you know now, that my invention tasted AWESOME.

I was at my friends house, and at around 4pm my friend's family all had to leave for some lawyer matters so I was at theirs' on my lonesome. I WENT INTO AN EPISODE OF UNENDURABLE PAIN - squirming and screaming in agony. I raided their pantries for some sort of medication to find Aspro-Clear. It told me to take 3 so I did. It did NOTHING at all.

Around 6 my friend came home to find me in pain and he quickly went to the pharmacy to buy those Naprogesic tablets for women in need. I'm sure the lady looked at him funny. The lady said it would kick in in 15 minutes, it took 1 hour.

After 4.5 hours of pain, I pretty much fell asleep. My body was exhausted! In between those hours of pain I took an extremely hot shower, now I have red spots everywhere because it was so hot I was starting to cook myself.. it was the only way to ease my pain a little. Sounds sadistic.

When I was packing for Melbourne, my friend drew me this to help meeee. It's so cute!

Gunpowder Shot

It was my sister's formal today and she looked gorgeous. My mum and I joined her pre-formal gathering. I woke up 20 minutes before because everyone was fretting about getting ready themselves and forgot that I was sleeping.
I slapped on whatever clothes and just put on some pink lippy. I look like tired death.

Afterwards I had some classy sushi with mother and went home to bum for a bit. I was super tired and denied all invitations to go out. But at 11pm Daniel won and I slapped on whatever and this time put hot pink lippy on and headed out.

We went to Port Office then Kaliber to try out this gunpowder shot which was pretty much like a shot of chilli and pepper to mask the alcohol taste (it was terrible!) I drank way too much, and I drove to Ryan's so I knew I wouldn't be able to drive home.

The boys wanted to go to X & Y afterwards so we headed there, as the boys were in the toilet I was by the bar where the bartender - very smoothly, gave me a free Vodka and Redbull and as my friends came back the bartender handed me a receipt. My friends thought it was a receipt for paying, and I had no idea why I got given a receipt, to only turn it around and see his number behind it.

That's probably the coolest way someone has ever given me their number hahaha.
Few moments later I was off in tipsy land, and we all went to the Casino. Daniel put 5 dollars on number 30 and won 175 on first go. We were totally astonished. I got 65 from Blackjack then we headed back to Ryan's. We napped until 7 am then I took Daniel and myself home. The rest of the day I spent packing, I'm absolutely exhausted.

Starts with an ex

I told Mr. Y about Mr. X because I owed it to him, knowing his feelings.
I felt terrible.
I confided in Mr. Z about Mr. Y and Mr. X to only find him confessing his years of affection towards me.
Now I feel worse.

Love & Rockets

Yesterday I went to the police station to identify two robbers! It was soo cool, I got to see mug shots and criminal records and the two cops just talked to me casually and was releasing so many details. I was like WOW I feel so in it hahahaha.

Afterwards I went shopping with Deshna and then created a huge banquet feast for my mum, Chynna, Deshna and myself! It was Chicken Rocket Salad with Lime Chilli Soy dressing. Dessert was a dark chocolate mousse with macerated strawberries. Yum yum yum! I was super happy that they ate it all and so quickly!

Desh and I started getting ready to go out, and finally picked up Tyson then Laura. We went to try and go to Alumba Lounge but the line was way too packed so after 20 minutes we went to X&Y Bar. I ran into my ex after not seeing him for 3 years, and he looked really really good.

I caught up with him and realised and was reminded that he is a soft, sweet guy who also is a douche.

My friends and I got bored so we went to Love & Rockets - a strip club where I bought a dance for Deshna and she got a motorboat hahaha. A guy came up to me and asked if I was on sale and I went crazy at him for even daring to ask.

Then another actually quite good looking guy started talking to me, but he wasn't sleazy at all. He asked what I was doing after I dropped all my friends off, and I was thinking oh here we go, seedy question - but he asked if we wanted to get Mcdonalds together hahaha!

I didn't though, I was way too tired and he was way too random.

Home

13/07/10
Seeing as I had bought an alarm clock, everyone asked me to be in charge for time. I set the time for all of us to wake up at 7:30am but when I'm responsible its an instant ticket to a sleepless night. I decided to take a shower at like 6:30, where I still had problems with my stomach. At that point I was getting sick of it, especially knowing that I had an 8 hour flight ahead of me. I also started getting the queasy, nauseous feeling again so I'm assuming Shenzhen's air or quality of lifestyle gets to me easy.

Just to remind, that I hadn't thrown up from sickness since I was 4 years old until I walked into the city of Shenzhen.

I told mum that we should leave at 8:30 but everyone disagreed saying that we'd have plenty of time because the bus only takes an hour. They depended on that timetable being adhered to. Of course that never happens.

We got dropped off at the Shenzhen bus station where we had to get our visas and passports checked. We said good bye to our family friend and her son and bought tickets to a bus. It left at 10:20. By 20 minutes we had already reached the border into Hong Kong.

Last time when we were coming into China, it was pretty late at night and Immigration was still crazy. Now, fresh in the morning - this place was hell. Especially because this time we also had to carry around all our suitcases in a crowd of smelly, dirty, sweaty, rude people. I decided to use my large suitcase as an advantage and create a passage way for myself, my sister and my mum to follow. It still took us an hour to go through immigration - then mum and I had to get thermal tested twice because they didn't read us properly.

By now, mum was fretting to get to the airport on time. I warned her. We ran back to our buses and the bus driver said we were destined to reach the airport by 12 something. Mum went ballistic and was yelling at him, but our flight is at 12.50pm!! So he told us we had to catch a taxi.

We unloaded all our suitcases and luggage and got off the bus and ran down to the end of a seemingly endless strip to find a big yellow bus. We queued to hop on which will then take us to a taxi rank. It was 11.50 and we got this taxi driver that let us stay together even though we had heaps of luggage. He loaded the three suitcase in the back and left the boot open, then the two smaller ones were kept on my sister and my lap.

My mum made it clear that we were tight on time, and he was also frantic if we would make it. But he tied his hair into a slick ponytail and sped. I have never seen a taxi driver go 120-140km/hr and when he was pushing on the 130km/hr the car was shaking. I was thinking what a mad dude! Hahahahahaha.

He got us there at 12.20, giving us 30 minutes and probably the idea that we wouldn't be allowed to be checked in. Mum gave us double and a bit more than the fare we were charged because he did do a crazy good job.

We ran to the check in and we got to cut this huge line. They told us that we were just allowed to be checked in (I thought that was nice! Domestic airlines don't let us check in after 1 hour before departure). They told us that our seats had been given up and we would be split. They told us to rush because even though we checked in the plane won't wait for us.

We ran through security, we ran to the train to go to Gate 66 and we ran from the train station to our destined Gate. Mum was much fitter than my sister and I combined and she zoomed off way in front of us.

Another unlucky plane story for this trip! Hahaha but we made it. For the first time in my life, I got to sit at the exit seat and so I had massive leg room, and I had a window seat! Well, I had a different seat first but when I went to board they notified me that I had be assigned that seat. Yay! Good thing I was near the toilets too because I was sick on the plane, ugh!

My sister got aisle on the side of the craft, but my mum was the most unlucky being stuck in the middle of a 4 seater. Cramped.

I got talking with the man next to me he's 60 this year and half of his life is on planes. All the staff treated him like King and I asked him what makes him so special? He said he's on the Diamond level. He got lunch served 30 minutes before everyone else, but he asked them to send my lunch too. And then every 20 minutes our drinks would get refilled.

A stewardess then came up and asked him if I was travelling with him, he said yes so I got given an express path through security and immigration (too bad I couldn't use it because I have my family) and we also got a bottle of water (normally you get a cup if you want water).

We were always offered snacks and dinner we got given first as well. The man told me all his stories and I shared mine - I won't get into it but in the end it was him who has rejuvenated my motivation and determination.

He's totally encouraged me with 120% support to keep doing engineering, with the gradual push towards structural engineering. We landed and got home in a taxi which costed 70 dollars because the guy wouldn't listen to my directions.

I stayed up until 4 am and went to bed. Back to Brisbane, back to Simba.

Last day

12/07/10
For our last day we just went back to Laojie to do some more shopping.
My mum and I went on our own way to shop for my sister's boyfriend - luckily he loved it!
It wasn't really an intense day, at 6 we met with our family friend's son after work so we could all go to dinner.
We went to Obama's brother's restaurant in Shenzhen, its this massive intense BBQ shish kebab galore place that is so chilled and has a great atmosphere.

This is.. an eggplant LOL

This is how much I ate, look at all the kebab sticks MAN plus I ate half a fish!
I ate so much! And because my sister has her formal so she's watching herself, I ate her share but it was so so delectable.
